SRI BANDARU DATTATREYA INAUGURATED
DIGITAL EXHIBITION ON SARDAR PATEL IN HYDERABAD
Sri Bandaru Dattatraya, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment, Government of India inaugurated Digital Exhibition titled “United India- Role of Sardar Patel” at the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad today. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister recalled the services of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sri Sardar Patel. “Shri Patel played a key role in the merger of 565 princely states into Indian Union after Independence. He was popularly called as ‘the Iron Man of India’. Sri Patel worked for the unity and integration of our Country. He was a great political intellectual", Sri Dattatreya added.
The Union Minister appreciated the National Council of Science Museum for organising Digital exhibition on the Great leader Sardar Patel. 'I am impressed by the Exhibition', Shri Dattatreya said. While the height of Statue of Liberty is only 20 feet, the height of the upcoming unity statue of Shri Sardar Patel will be 600 feet, he said. Students should visit the exhibition, Sri Dattatreya urged. The Exhibition will be opened up to 30th April and there is no entry fee, the Museum Director Dr. A. Nagender Reddy said. Sri K.V. Kumar, Director, National Council of Science Museum and the staff of the Museum participated in the event.
