ARBITRATION TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR LEGAL PRACTITIONERS AND PROFESSIONALS AT ICADR, HYDERABAD
Pending cases in various Courts are increasing day-by-day in number. In this grave situation, the practice of 'Alternative Dispute Resolution' has been brought forth by the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICDAR), New Delhi. The Regional Centre of ICDAR at Hyderabad is conducting a three day Arbitration Training Programme in its premises. Justice Vaman Rao, Former Judge, High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the Training Programme by lighting the sacred lamp. The Programme concludes on 25th March, 2017. This Training Programme is being conducted for the benefit of Law Officers, Officers working in various Chambers of Commerce, Corporates, Public Sector Undertakings, Public Companies, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, Engineers Construction Industry and also Graduates in any discipline from a recognised University. JLN Murthy, Secretary, ICDAR, Hyderabad informed that the ICDAR is working with the motto of providing speedy justice and reducing the Court cases. B.S. Saluja, Secretary-General, ICDAR, Headquarters, New Delhi said that Every year Training Programmes are being conducted three times on Mediation and on Arbitration. As per the stipulation of the Supreme Court only those candidates who take 40 hours of special training are eligible to work as Arbitrators. This stipulation is driving the demand for the Training Programme. Since inception of ICDAR, Regional Centre, Hyderabad in 1998, till now conducted 825 Arbitration hearings in the Regional Centre of ICDAR.
