Youth should learn skills and preferself-employment to the Government jobs:

Sri M Venkaiah Naidu UnionMinister of Urban Development, Housing and Poverty Alleviation &Information & Broadcasting today attended the Skill Development Programmesorganised by the Swarna Bharat Trust in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaking on thisoccasion, he said that the Government at the Centre under the leadership ofPrime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is striving to bring social and economicjustice to the people. The Central Government is giving top priority for SkillDevelopment. The Government has createda separate ministry for for the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, theMinister recalled.
The Union Budget has proposed Skill Acquisition and KnowledgeAwareness for Livelihood Promotion programme - SANKALP - and earmarked a sum ofRs 4,000 crores to provide market relevant training to 3.5 crore youth, theUnion minister elucidated. Youth should not look for government jobs as it isdifficult toprovide jobs for everyone. The youth should acquire variousemployment skills, and prefer the self-employment SriVenkaiahNaidu suggested. As there is dearth of skilled manpower in our country, theSwarna Bharat Trust is conducting training programmes to help the youth, herevealed. Under Atal ji Kaushal Vikas training programme, the training is beingprovided in Automobile, Sanitation, Plumbing, AC Refrigeration, Electrical and Housewiring repairs etc. so that the youth can acquire job related professionalservices. Corporate groups like L & T, GMR are extending the cooperation inthe endeavour, Sri Venkaiah Naidu added.
