Andhra Pradesh Tops in the country in AIR Passenger Traffic
Visakhapatnam, 27th January, 2017
The Union Minister for Civil aviation Mr. Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati said that India stands in 9th Position in the Aviation sector in the World. While addressing the gathering Mr. Raju said that Andhra Pradesh Tops in the country in AIR Passenger Traffic. At the National Level 21% growth in Passenger traffic whereas Vijayawada Airport Records 71 %, Visakhapatnam 61%, Tirupathi and Rajahmundry combines 21% recorded in air traffic. Run ways of Rajahmundry and Vijayawada airports have been extended by acquisition of land. Andhra Pradesh government is a Role Model for development and Visakhapatnam is one of the cleanest cities in the country. Prime Minister had a vision for the city. Prime Minister is in favor of providing Optic fiber network connectivity to all the villages in India. Andhra Pradesh is a proactive state in creation of Maximum Employment opportunities. While providing infrastructure to the Air ports there is no compromise with Environment and sustainable development.
Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas (independent charge) Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu also participated in the summit. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and State Government of Andhra Pradesh is organizing the 23rd edition of the Partnership Summit from 27-28 January 2017 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It is expected that over 400 memorandums of understanding (MoU) during the two-day event being signed worth of Rs 7 trillion across sectors such as aerospace and defence, oil and natural gas, automobiles, life sciences, electronics, energy and minerals among others
