HIGH TIME FOR PAKISTAN TO END DOUBLE STANDARDS ON TERRORISM: UNIONMINISTER SHRI VENKAIAH NAIDU
'HONOURTHE PROMISE MADE AT AGRA SUMMIT'

Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Poverty Alleviation &Information & Broadcasting Shri M Venkaiah Naidu said that Pakistan shouldrealize that using terrorism as a State policy is suicidal. Whilespeaking to the members of electronic media at his residence here today, theUnion Minister had strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Police Academy atQuetta in which more than 60 trainees have lost their lives. The most explosiveC-4 chemical weapons were used by the terrorists belonging toLaskhar-e-Jhangvi, which later claimed credit for the attack, Shri Venkaiah Naidu added in this context. Earlier also Taliban suicideteam made a similar attack on Quetta government hospital, the Union Ministerrecalled. "Terrorism is like Basmasura Hasta. If you encourageterrorism, you will become victim of terrorism" Shri Venkaiah Naiduopined. 'Pakistan has not only made terrorism a State policy, but has beencontinuously aiding, abetting and funding terrorism from time to time againstIndia ' he said.
Pakistanhas not honoured the promise made by former President General Parvez Musharrafof not allowing Pakistani soil to be used for terrorist activities, ShriVenkaiah Naidu added. It has not walked the talk, which was promised in AgraSummit, he alleged. In spite of a number of goodwill gestures and initiativesfrom India, Pakistan has been adopting double standards by criticizingterrorism on one hand and extending support on the other said the Minister. Theentire support for terrorists and militants, who are targeting India, is comingfrom Pakistan, which is known to the whole world Shri Venkaiah Naidu asserted.It is shielding and encouraging terror master minds like Masood Azhar and SyedSalahuddin, he said. It is also hand-in-glove with dreaded mafia dons likeDawood Ibrahim and has been lying about his whereabouts though everyone knowsthat he is being sheltered in Pakistan, he said. Shri Venkaiah Naidu alsorecalled that the Pakistan has also not cooperated with India in bringing tobook the terrorists behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. "It is high time,Pakistan realized that it is adopting a suicidal and foolhardy policy.Terrorists have no religion and the entire world must come together toidentify, fight, expose and eliminate terrorism from every nook andcorner" he said. The Minister demanded Pakistan, that all the terroristcamps be dismantled. He paid rich tributes to the soldiers who died duringterrorist attracts. Triple talaq a gender issue under article 14 and 15 of theIndian continuation all the citizens are equal before law, he said.
